Passing through Ondo State, South Western Nigeria today got me thinking deeply about Rocks. Ondo is blessed with massive chunks of rock's at various sites. What shocked me most about them is their permanence especially when not disturb by human activities. They have been around for 100s of years without the help or assistance of man. They Don't give a damn about you. Rocks have a consciousness that even men may not possess. Though white and washed with age, with grasses befriending her, red flowers crawling over her, she still stands out with so much grace and glory. Sometimes she is in small clusters as a result of natural activities that have disintegrated her and make her disparate. She stands tall at the back of the buildings in Ondo State, wishing us well as we pass through her permanent habitation. Her heights is just staggering to behold in the human eyes. I felt like I hit the bull's eye looking at her from my travelling space. She maybe bathed in nature but she is still as stunning as ever.
Her body goes down in a plain and sometimes crude form as a result of man's activities on her over the years. She has trees growing on her without consent thereby violating her sacred privacy. I saw a shade and appearance of her but without physical substance as her glory has been covered by trees. It breaks my heart to realize that some parts of her is been broken by construction companies with the goal of building more habitable houses for the dear indigenes of Ondo. Beholding her so close now make her seem like towers to my iris. Oh, how I wish I could travel through this terrain again and enjoy her celestial glory though mother of nature.
Thanks alot for restacking @Marc Arginteanu
